The Israel Nature and Parks Authority in cooperation with Israeli Ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, will present an exhibition of Israeli nature photographs at UN headquarters in New York. The exhibition will show 30 photographs of Israel nature and landscape taken by Israeli photographers and opens on February 15 in the presence of Ambassador Danon and Nature and Parks Authority CEO Shaul Goldstein.
The photos were selected from among thousands in accordance with pre-determined professional criteria, including art and technique of photography and connection activity NPA. Selected photographs reflect and represent the Authority's work on endangered animals, nature's right to water, return of animals to the wild, landscape preservation, biodiversity, light pollution, saving the Mediterranean and more.
Ambassador Danon said: "We are proud to present to the UN the beauty of our country. Israel takes a significant part in global environmental protection and conservation efforts and this is an opportunity to show the world the beautiful face of Israel."
The photos will be on exhibit at the United Nations from Feb. 15 - March 02. The exhibition is open to the public (in coordination with the UN).
