Purim Carnival – Israel's Largest Street Festival for Children | Free Entry

From Safra Square to Nachlaot and Ben Yehuda Street, there will be dancers, puppet theater, street theater artists, clowns, acrobats and circus acts, creative workshops andparades of giant dolls.
The giant street party will be hosted by the star of the Galis series, Ben Adam, with appearances by Israel's pop princess – Noa Kirel, and Meni Mamtera of the Yuval Hamebulbal Project that is sweeping the country. The party will also feature Kofiko – a new show from Israel's funniest and most popular monkey! There will also be a costume competition with prizes.
All the events and performances in the Square are free, and the Municipality expects over 5,000 children to participate. Safra Square is easily accessible to Jerusalem visitors and residents with the Light Rail Safra Square station just steps away.
Haim Ben Shimon, who is responsible for cultural events for the Municipality, says: "Purim in Jerusalem will have performances and activities for the whole family – toddlers, schoolchildren and teenagers. We are offering something for everyone – a wide range of activities and entertainment – and all of the activities are free of charge."
The event is being produced by the Cultural Division of the Jerusalem MunicipalityCulture and Leisure Administration.
In the event of inclement weather, the festival will take place in the Cinema City Complex and Yes Planet!
Purim Happening: "Fun in the German Colony" – Free Entry

Emek Refaim Street in the German Quarter will host a "Purim Happening," featuring a variety of free street performances, distribution of surprise coupons for a selection of gifts from local businesses, and more. The event is organized jointly by the Jerusalem Municipality’s Business Promotion Division, Culture Division and Community Administration – City Parks, together with the local Merchant Committee and the Local Community Administration. Visitors will enjoy a variety of street performances and entertaining characters, all for free.
Celebrations will also take place in dozens of the city's cultural institutions, with a range of festive activities in neighborhood community administrations.
