This week, The World health Organization (WHO) granted Israel with an award. The award was dedicated to the emergency medical teams of Israel, for their contribution to saving lives of citizens around the world.
The award was given at an international conference which took place in Hong Kong. Tzipi Hotoveli, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs received the award in the name of the state of Israel together with a delegation from the IDF. At the speech she delivered at the conference she said: "it is a great honor for the state of Israel, and it is a privilege for me to receive the award for the state of Israel, along with representatives of the medical corps who do a great job in the field and bring Israel a great national pride".
The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs thanked the World Health Organization for the high rank given to the Israeli medical emergency delegations, and noted that Israel sees a great importance in its contribution to the international community in saving lives. It is a true Israeli and Jewish pride.
