17:00 - President & First Lady Rivlin will host at the President’s Residence a Bible study session together with the ‘929 Initiative’, which promotes regular Torah study with a focus on social issues. The session will be focused on the upcoming festival of Pesach (Passover), and titled after the final of the Four Questions, “On this night we all lean”. Speaking at the event will be President Rivlin, Education Minister Naftali Bennett, and Rabbi Beni Lau. The event will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). Media arrival no later than 16:15. Tuesday, 4 April
10:00 – President Rivlin will address a meeting at his residence of state comptrollers and heads of regional ombudsman organizations from 12 countries; USA, Austria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, India, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, and Sweden. The delegation will be addressing the issue of cybersecurity, at a seminar hosted by the Israel State Comptroller’s Office. Speaking at the meeting will be President Rivlin; Israel State Comptroller, Yosef Shapira; Director General of the State Comptroller’s Office, Eli Marzel; and Comptroller General of the United States and head of the U.S. Government Accountability Office, Mr. Eugene Louis Dodaro. 11:15 – President Rivlin will address the opening of the “Creating the Future” conference at Binyanei HaUma, by Future Scientists Program - The Center for the Gifted and Talented, by the Maimonides Fund, in partnership with the Education Ministry, and the National Cyber Bureau at the Prime Minister’s Office. The event will take place at the Jerusalem International Convention Center and will be open to the media. Journalists must coordinate with Lital at 050-3900900.
15:00 – President Rivlin will address the memorial ceremony for Israel’s Sixth President Chaim Herzog, marking 20 years since his death. Also speaking will be Prime Minister Netanyahu, and representatives of the Herzog family. The ceremony will be held on Mt. Herzl and will be open to media; details to be issued separately.
Thursday, 6 April
14:00 – First Lady Nechama Rivlin will host at the President’s Residence, lone IDF soldiers at the President’s House at a reception in honor of the upcoming festival of Pesach. Also participating will be Chana Eizenkott, wife of the IDF Chief of Staff, and Chairman of the Association for the Wellbeing of Israel's Soldiers, Maj. Gen. (res.) Yoram Yair.
