Sunday, 26 March, 2017 

President & First Lady Rivlin will return to Israel from their State Visit to Vietnam. 

 

Monday, 27 March, 2017 

12:00 – President & First Lady Rivlin will be joined in the hall of the President’s Residence by the staff of the President’s Office, and 50 further volunteers from the “Rabbi Grossman Institutions” to aid in packing food parcels for needy families in the run up to the Jewish festival of Passover. The volunteers will include soldiers in the IDF, students of Rabbi Yitzchok Dovid Grossman’s educational institutions, and others. A range of produce and goods for the festival will be wrapped into around 250 parcels for distribution. President Rivlin and Israel Prize Laureate, Rabbi Grossman will address the event. The event will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). Media arrival no later than 11:15. Tuesday, 28 March, 2017 

10:00 – President Rivlin will receive the annual report of the Bank of Israel, from the Bank’s Governor Dr. Karnit Flug, who will present the President with the key findings of the report and economic expectations for the coming year. Official coverage only. 17:00 – President Rivlin will address at his residence, the official ceremony in memorial of Israel’s late Presidents and Prime Ministers. This year’s ceremony will be dedicated to the memory of Israel’s Fifth President Yitzchak Navon, and Israel’s Second Prime Minister Moshe Sharett. Also attending the ceremony will be Prime Minister Netanyahu, members of the Navon and Sharett families, and other senior officials. The ceremony will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). Wednesday, 29 March, 2017 - State Visit of the President of Slovakia  

09:30 - President Reuven Rivlin will host at the President’s Residence, an official welcome ceremony for President of Slovakia H.E. Andrej Kiska, who will be making an official visit to Israel. The Presidents will stand for the national anthems, before going on to review a guard of honor, and deliver brief public statements. They will then hold a working meeting during which they will discuss the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two countries. The ceremony and public statements will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). 11:00 – As spring approaches, First Lady Rivlin will hold the first gathering this year in the community garden which she initiated two years ago in the garden of the President’s Residence. The garden brings together school children from across Israeli society to learn together about nature and the environment. The event will include students from the Evelina de Rothschild School for religious girls, students from the “Bi-lingual School” for Jewish and Arab children. The ceremony will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). 19:00 - President & First Lady Rivlin will host, at the President’s Residence, a state dinner in honor of the visit of the President of Slovakia. Both Presidents will deliver addresses at the beginning of the evening. Official coverage only.
