Sunday, 17 July
10:30 – President & First Lady Rivlin will host at the President's Residence the family of Shira Banki, along with representatives of the Jerusalem Open House for Pride and Tolerance (JOH), in the run up to the pride march scheduled to take place next week marking a year since Shira was murdered. In accordance with the family's request, the event will be official coverage only, with materials available afterwards.
Monday, 18 July - State visit of the President of Paraguay
09:30 – President Rivlin will host at his residence, an official welcome ceremony for President of Paraguay, H.E. Horacio Manuel Cartes Jara, who will be making the first state visit of a president of Paraguay to Israel. The Presidents will stand for the national anthems, review a guard of honor, and deliver brief public statements, before holding a working meeting during which they will discuss the strengthening of bilateral ties between the two countries. The ceremony and public statements will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). Media arrival no later than 08:45. Journalists must RSVP to Jason@president.gov.il. Please note a photo-op at the beginning of the working meeting will be official photographers only.
19:00 – President & First Lady Rivlin will host at the President’s Residence, a state dinner in honor of the visit of President Cartes. Both presidents will deliver addresses at the beginning of the evening. Official coverage only.
Tuesday, 19 July
11:00 – President Rivlin will address the official memorial ceremony for those who fell in the Second Lebanon War, marking ten years since the conflict. The ceremony will take place on Mt. Herzl, coverage details to be issued separately.
16:20 – President Rivlin will together with Speaker of the Knesset Edelstein, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and David Einhorn father of Yonathan who fell in battle during the Second Lebanon War, will tour the "Longing" art exhibition in the Knesset compiled by the bereaved families of those who fell in the conflict. Coverage details to be issued separately.
16:30 – President Rivlin will attend a special plenary meeting of the Knesset marking ten years since the Second Lebanon War. Open coverage. Media wishing to attend must coordinate in advance with Knesset media department, 02-6753538.
Wednesday, 19 July
14:30 – President Rivlin will speak in conversation with journalist Ilana Dayan on the issue of 'Equality before of the Law'. The conversation will be held as a summary to a conference held at the President's Residence on the issue, marking the 90th birthday of former President of the Supreme Court Meir Shamgar. Also attending will be current and former Supreme Court Presidents, Justice Minister Shaked, the Attorney General, the State Comptroller, the State Prosecutor, and other senior legal and justice figures. Thursday, 19 July
11:30 – President Rivlin will address the launch ceremony for the new Israeli Innovation Center at the Peres Center for Peace. Also attending will be Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel's Ninth President Shimon Peres, hi-tech leaders and other senior industry and political figures. The event will take place at the Peres Center for Peace, and will be open to the media. Journalists wishing to attend must RSVP with Yael at 054-7238338.
