President Rivlin's Schedule for the Week Beginning 4 September

President Rivlin’s schedule for week beginning Sunday 4 September 2016 / Rosh Chodesh 1 Elul, 5776

Sunday 4, September 

10:15 – President Rivlin will mark the opening of the ultra-Orthodox (Haredi) school year – which begins on the first day of the Hebrew month of Elul – with a visit to Maor Israel Talmud Torah school in Jerusalem. The President will be greeted at the school by students (open coverage) before going on to meet first grade students (official coverage only), and speak to a special school assembly (open coverage). President Rivlin will be accompanied by Interior Minister Ariyeh Makhluof Deri, and Mayor of Jerusalem Nir Barkat. The visit will take place at the Maor Israel School, Ramot D, 21 HaRav Or Shragah St, and will be open to the media – arrival no later than 09:30. 13:00 – President Rivlin will meet at his residence with Australian Foreign Minister Julie Bishop. The beginning of the meeting will be open to the media (GPO cardholders only). Media arrival no later than 12:15. Please RSVP with Jason@president.gov.il. 

 

Tuesday 6, September 

19:00 – President Rivlin will lay a wreath and deliver an address at the event held in honor of the Israeli security forces from the Bedouin community. Speaking at the event will be Chief of Police Roni Alsheikh, Southern Command Major General Aviv Kochavi, as well as senor military and Bedouin community figures. The event will take place at the The Monument for Fallen Bedouin Soldiers (close to HaMovil Junction) and will be open to the media.
