10:30 – President Rivlin will address students from across the world, who attend the Eastern Mediterranean International School. Official coverage only.
Monday, 6 February
10:00 – President Rivlin will meet at his residence with Prime Minister of Belgium, Charles Michel. The beginning of the meeting will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). Wednesday, 8 February
13:00 – President and First Lady Rivlin will host at the President’s Residence, a traditional Tu B’Shvat Seder, marking the Jewish ‘New Year’ for the trees and their produce. They will be presented by farmers and agriculturists with a wide array of produce from Israel, including exotic and special fruits. The event is being held in partnership with the “One Family” organization which supports bereaved families of terror victims. The event will be open to the media (GPO card holders only). Thursday, 9 February
12:30 – President Rivlin will visit Haifa, where he will plant a tree (in honor of Tu B’Shvat) in a neighborhood which was struck by the wave of fires last year. He will meet with local children who are participants in the “Israeli Hope in Education” initiative. Also speaking will be the Mayor of Haifa, Chairman of the KKL, and representatives of the local community. The tree planting ceremony in the Ramat Sapir neighborhood, Haifa, will be open to the media. Journalists must coordinate in advance with Dina (KKL Spox) at 050-6386415.
